About the platform
ScholarConnect exists to make research collaboration and publication funding sustainable and ethically defensible — co-authorship is earned through documented academic work, never bought.
Our model
Authors with accepted papers seek funding collaborators to cover Article Processing Charges (APC) and publication costs. Contributors provide that support — but only become co-authors after making a genuine, documented contribution such as analysis, writing, review, experiments, or statistics. The platform verifies every contribution through admin review and charges a transparent service fee.
Why it's defensible
By requiring real academic work and verifying it before authorship is granted, the platform aligns with recognised authorship standards. Funds are held in escrow and only released after both the contribution and the publication are confirmed, protecting everyone involved.
No direct messaging
To keep collaboration safe and auditable, authors and contributors never message each other directly. All communication flows through the admin team via the support ticket system, and every exchange is logged.
