Terms & Authorship Policy
This page is maintained by the ScholarConnect operator to explain how the platform governs contributions, funding, and authorship. Please review it carefully.
1. Authorship policy
Co-authorship is granted only after a contributor makes a genuine, documented academic contribution (such as analysis, writing, review, experiments, or statistics) that is verified by the platform's admin team. Funding alone never entitles any user to authorship. Ghost authorship, gift authorship, and undisclosed contributions are strictly prohibited.
2. Eligibility & verification
Authors and contributors must provide accurate identity, institutional, and academic information. The platform may request verification documents and may approve, reject, or suspend accounts at its discretion to maintain academic integrity.
3. Opportunities & slots
Authors may post opportunities for papers that have been accepted for publication. Each opportunity defines contribution slots, the required contribution type, and the funding amount. Opportunities become visible only after admin approval.
4. Reservations & payment
Reserving a slot holds it for 60 minutes. If payment is not completed within that window, the slot is released automatically. Payments are held in escrow by the platform and are not transferred directly between users.
5. Escrow & release of funds
Funds remain in escrow until the contribution is verified and the paper is published. Upon successful publication, funds are released to the author less the platform service fee. Disputes are reviewed by the admin team.
6. Service fee
The platform charges a 10% service fee deducted from released funds. Fees are disclosed before payment.
7. Communication
Direct messaging between authors and contributors is not permitted. All communication occurs through the admin team via the support ticket system and is logged.
8. Refunds & disputes
If a contribution is not verified, a paper is not published, or an opportunity is cancelled, escrowed funds may be refunded subject to admin review. The platform's decision on disputes is final.
